History, Development

Metaltrade International s.r.o. was established in 2007 to continue the wholesale business with hardware goods operated by Mr. Ing. Bernard Zich since 1992.
Direct cooperation with ISO-certified manufacturers with export licenses in China and Taiwan, focused on quality and exports to EU markets, was the basic strategy of the newly established company. Personal contacts, language skills, company background and years of experience in the field enabled rapid growth and establishment of the company as a significant European importer of chains, ropes, lifting equipment and related products.

The product range currently includes more than 6000 items of chains, ropes, lifting equipment and accessories. In the last year, the range was expanded with wire screws, carpentry fittings, ground screws and suspension and handling equipment.
The company background includes storage facilities with a capacity of 1500 pallet spaces with a permanent warehouse stock of 1000+ tons of goods, a pressing plant for slings, offices, a store and goods dispatch. The long-term goal of the company is to offer a comprehensive range of products for handling, anchoring and slinging, both for end customers (home, workshop, garden, leisure activities) and for manufacturers and traders in the fields of engineering, construction, furniture manufacturing, agriculture, forestry, transport and heavy industry, always at favorable price and delivery conditions.

In 2014, the company underwent ISO 9001 certification. This certification was terminated in 2021, but we continue to maintain standards in the long term and improve internal processes. The production and sale of lifting equipment are carried out in accordance with the Czech versions of European standards ČSN EN 1677 and ČSN EN 13414. Ground screws are made of structural steel S235, hot-rolled according to EN 10025-2 and hot-dip galvanized according to EN ISO 1461.
For products of higher strength classes, we issue control documents (declaration of conformity, certificate) according to EN ISO 10204-2.1 or 2.2. Products that are marked with working load capacity or are intended for lifting purposes are manufactured according to the relevant standards and comply with Government Regulation No. 176/2008 Coll.

Orders for parcel transport received by 12 o'clock are usually dispatched on the same day. Orders for pallet transport received by 9 o'clock are most often also sent on the day of ordering.

We sell only whole packages of goods according to the quantities stated in the tabular listings of product variants and current price lists.

Under our own brand MTR®, we now offer an extensive range of lifting equipment grade 8 and grade 10 as well as handling equipment with proven quality and always a favorable price. We have been offering lifting equipment on the Czech market for more than 10 years, during which time we have sold more than 250 tons of lifting components and slings grade 8 and grade 10, without a single complaint about failure during use. Therefore, we have decided to mark our products with the MTR® trademark and a marked batch, so that every product supplied to the market can be easily traced.
MTR® – lifting equipment and handling equipment according to EN 1677 standards. Choose from more than 400 product variants and components, which we deliver to you promptly at exceptionally favorable price conditions. We assemble custom chain slings, grade 8, components standard in stock up to size 22-8 (WLL 15t) and grade 10 up to size 16-10 (WLL 10t), we press wire rope slings up to a rope diameter of 22mm.
